Udaipur is located about 400 km southwest of the state capital, Jaipur, and 250 km northeast of Ahmedabad. It has several daily direct flights from Mumbai and Delhi and frequent connecting flights from Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. The airport is a convenient 20 km from the city center with reliable prepaid taxi service. The city lies on the Golden Quadrilateral (National Highway 8) midway between Delhi and Mumbai, with Ahmedabad a 4 hour drive.
