One of the most respected and well paid jobs in the Indian government is undoubtedly Civil services UPSC. Civil services is conducted by UPSC. Civil Services exam 2020 was the last iteration of this. Civil Services Syllabus can be looked at from its official website. Please check the civil services age limit before applying. The respect and prestige that actually comes with the services like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS) are unmatched to any job in the private sector. These jobs form the steel frame of the Indian administration.

2. PSU Jobs

Jobs in public sector undertakings or PSUs such as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), ONGC, NTPC limited, GAIL etc are really very good options. 9. Scientists

Scientists are the people who bring changes for welfare of the people and the country on the whole. ISRO, DRDO are some of the respected and well-known institutions which are run by government scientists. The salary of a government scientist is either equivalent or sometimes even better than the private ones. Perks like individual houses for accommodation, medical insurance etc are some of the benefits associated with this particular job.

10. Insurance Sector Jobs

Last but not the least, jobs in insurance sector like the LIC, GIC etc are also very well-paid.
