| Substation supervisor (Substation operation and Maintenance) | B.Tech (Electrical) with 5 year’s experience in a relevant field or a Diploma in Electrical with a minimum of 10 years experience in the relevant field. Substation supervisor should possess supervisor A class license issued by the Electrical Inspectorate of Kerala and they should be well trained in the field of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment such as 11KV and LT switchgear,(VCB, ACB, MCCB) DG Sets, distribution transformers, Testing of Earth Resistance and IR Value of all electrical installation and good knowledge of PLC and all protective equipment in MV and LT panels, rules and regulation of electrical installations, liaison work of daily maintenance records, etc. |
| Substation Operator | Diploma in Electrical with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field. Substation Operator should be well versed in the field of operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment such as 11KV and LT switchgear, (VCB, ACB, MCCB) DG Sets, distribution transformers, Testing of Earth Resistance and IR Value of all electrical installations. |
| Electrician (Daily Maintenance – shift duty) | ITI or I.T.C (Electrician) Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical installations and having valid wireman permit license issued by a competent Government authority with at least 5 year’s experience in repairing UPS, Battery, VFD, VVVFD, PLC, switches, motors, pump, fans, exhaust fans, all electrical works including wiring works. |
| Utility Technician | Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of experience or I.T.I Mechanical with 10 years of experience in Air Condition systems, Diesel Generators, Elevators, Fire fighting system, Setting of VFD, BMS Analog controllers, PID Loops, and operation of centralized air-condition plants. |
| Operator(A/C) | I.T.I or I.T.C (Refrigeration and A/C) with a minimum of 10 years of experience with operation and maintenance of chiller plants, low side, Refrigeration, room air-conditioners, and knowledge of VFD, PLC, BMS system. |
| Wireman Helper | SSLC and qualified in Electric Wireman Helper Competency or Assistant Electrician program with experience in the relevant field of minimum 10 year’s experience. |
| Fire Technician | Diploma in Fire and Safety with 5 Years experience in fire alarm panels, conventional/addressable fire panel installation, fire detector and troubleshooting. Should be qualified in first aid course and ability to conduct fire drill/ fire evacuation plan. |

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a “Grant-in-Aid” institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minster of India. On April 18, 1994 the Government of Kerala took a landmark decision to restructure the institute into a comprehensive biotechnology center and thus was created the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology.
