Qualification
Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Universities or recognized research institutions or public sector undertakings or autonomous or statutory organization: –
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or m) with two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 7 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400 / -) in the parent cadre department; and
(b) Possessing the educational qualification and experience as under: –
Master’s degree of a recognized University or Institution in Social Work of Sociology of Economics or Anthropology or Social Anthropology or Applied Anthropology or Statistics of Psychology or Geography or Mathematics (with Statistics),ii) Two – years experience of conducting survey of research in the field of social welfare including analysis of data and preparation of the reports. feeder category who are in dir.

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) was established by amending Article 338 and inserting a new Article 338A in the Constitution through the Constitution (89th Amendment) Act, 2003. By this amendment, the erstwhile National Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes was replaced by two separate Commissions namely- (i) the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), and (ii) the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) w.e.f. 19 February, 2004. Detailed background information about the historical evolution of the National Commission has been given in Chapter-1 of the first Report of the Commission for the year 2004-05 and 2005-06.
