Eligibility Criteria

You have to qualify following eligibility standards to apply for this Indian Bank PO 2018 exam.

1. Age Limit (as on 1st January 2018)

Minimum Age: 20 years

Maximum Age: 30 Years

Age Relaxation

SC/ST: 5 Years

OBC: 3 Years

PWD: 10 Years

Ex-servicemen โ€“ 5 years

Jammu & Kashmir domicile Candidates โ€“ 5 years

2. Educational Qualification

You should have a degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University (or) any Equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Selection Process 

Indian Bank selection process for the PO 2020 exam will consist of 3 stages, which are:

  • Prelims
  • Mains
  • Interview

1. Prelims Exam Pattern:

The Preliminary Online Examination (objective type) consists of 100 questions & you have to complete it in 1 hour.

Prelims is not a qualifying round as its marks will be counted in the Final Merit List.

You need to score sufficiently high in Prelims and Mains along with qualifying the Interview.

In fact, the weightage of the Preliminary & Mains + Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

2. Mains Exam

The Main Online Examination will be objective type.

It will consist of a total 200 questions & you have to complete it in 2 hours.

Both Mains and Prelims will be Bilingual for all sections except English.

Only if you qualify Prelims cut off then you will be shortlisted for Mains.

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for wrong answers.

Descriptive Paper

The Descriptive Test will take place on the day of Mains Examination.

As the Mains paper gets over;  the screen of the computer will automatically direct you to the descriptive test.

The descriptive paper will start without any break or time gap. The descriptive paper will be evaluated for those candidates who will qualify in the Mains objective test.

3. Interview

If you clear the cut off score of the Main examination then you will be called for an Interview which will be of 100 marks.

The minimum qualifying marks in Interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

The weightage of the Prelims, Main and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

Your combined final score will be on the basis of scores obtained by you in the Prelims, Mains and Interview.
